Written translations:

A standard page consists of 1600 ASCII characters (including spaces). The calculation is accomplished on the basis of the number of characters on the translated pages. The price includes the cost of one print-out or saving the file on a disc. The translation can also be sent by e-mail. The texts are divided into general and specialty texts with the translation cost of specialty texts slightly higher.


The completion time for a translation job depends on the urgency of your order. There are four types of orders: standard, urgent, express and super-express. Standard order: up to 2 pages for the same day (if received in the morning of that day) and up to 4 pages to be translated for the following day. Urgent order: translation of 5-9 pages per day. Express order: translation of 10 - 12 pages per day. Texts over 12 pages a day are considered as super-express


Simple graphical layouts, such as text formating and uncomplicated tables, are offered free of charge. More troublesome orders such as handwritten texts, small print, diagrams or large tables, are subject to a surcharge. Highly specialized texts are priced on an individual basis. In the case of highly specialized texts, which present an especially high level of difficulty, we ask our clients to provide some sources of vocabulary specific to the subject matter (i.e. mini-dictionaries) and a possibility to consult a company representative.


Advertisements and promotional materials are directly translated from the originals. Should the client wish the text to be edited for publication purposes, the price will be subject to adjustment. 
 
Translations from Polish language into a foreign language carry a surcharge of 50%.
Additionally Schola Polonica offers transcription from audio and videotapes in Polish and foreign languages. The prices are subject to negotiation in the event of translation jobs requiring special editing. 
 
We also offer the verification of texts in Polish and English.




Sworn Translations:

Schola Polonica also provides services of sworn translators. A page of a sworn translation is comprised of 1125 ASCII characters of the translated text.

In case of complaints regarding the completed translation, we reserve the right to make the correction of the given text. All complaints will be considered within 14 days following the completion of a translation job. The corrected text will be delivered in our standard speed.
